Connecting with Linksys extender

  1. You must connect your computer or other wireless device to the Linksys range extender’s wireless network either over a wired/cable or wireless connection.
  2. The Linksys extender setup is best advised over an Ethernet cable – wired connection, where the Ethernet/LAN cable should be fixed at any of the available LAN ports on both ends.

Linksys extender setup using the WPS method

Linksys extender setup using WPS should be supported with WPS on both devices.

  1. Attach the Linksys extender’s power adapter to a power outlet.
  2. Turn on the Linksys range extender.
  3. Let the power LED status turn blue.
  4. Press the WPS button on the Linksys extender, which is usually on the side panel of extender.
  5. Simultaneously, press the WPS button of router as well.
